Sooke Potholes Gateway Park


CLIENT District of Sooke, Parks and Environmental Services

Signage was designed for the Sooke Potholes Gateway, the District of Sooke portion of the park, which gives access to the Sooke Potholes Regional Park, Sooke Potholes Provincial Park and the T'Sou-ke Nation KWL-UCHUN Spring Salmon Place Campground. These 3 signs feature SPÁ¸EŦ Black Bear SPÁ¸EŦ Artwork by Coast Salish Artist Shelley Davies of the T'Sou-ke Nation:

  • SPÁ¸EŦ Black Bear Public Art (powder-coated aluminum and vinyl graphics)

  • Sooke Potholes Gateway Entrance Sign (Cedar, cast acrylic and vinyl graphics)

  • Sooke Potholes Gateway Map Sign (powder-coated aluminum and vinyl graphics)

River-Safe Sunscreen Signs (aluminum and vinyl graphics) with custom illustrations were created to educate the public about the harmful effects of chemical sunscreens on the Sooke River ecosystem.
